I'm a 33-year-old photographer born and raised in Oranjestad, Aruba — and this island has been my greatest teacher.

I never went to photography school. Everything I know, I learned by doing — by going out, experimenting, failing, and going out again. That self-taught foundation is something I'm proud of, because it means every technique I use, I earned through curiosity and stubbornness rather than a classroom.

Photography found me the same way Aruba's light finds everything here — gradually, then all at once.
